Thursday at work was possibly one of the longest days of my life (well, it wasn't really
that bad, but...).
# of times my toe was run over by a shopping cart, not while shopping: 2
# of times I hurt my elbow by accidentally ramming it into hard surfaces: 3
# of fingers injured by metal fasteners on the file folders: 2
# of temper tantrums thrown: 2
# of boxes of files removed, collected, organized, and recorded: 12
# of times I thought the minimum wage should be increased, consequence-free: 3
Well, yeah, that was pretty bad... but fortunately I'm finished with that now and I think they're running out of things for me to do (hopefully they won't come up with something difficult) but whatever. They haven't given me anything I can't handle, so it's good. I enjoy my 1/2 hour lunch break the best, because on sunny days (
I'm gonna soak up the sun...I'm gonna tell everyone to lighten up...) I eat outside and listen my my newly-burnt CD albums on my headphones. Favorite part of my working day. It's also nice not getting myself lost trying to walk around in the building anymore...

GUESS WHAT?!? (You can tell by the excitement that this probably has something to do with a certain obsession of mine) Today I finally bought myself the
Buffy Complete Season 2 DVD set (6 discs) from Costco and I haven't watched it yet (well, duh, I
have already seen all the episodes anyway, but haven't seen the special features) but which I'm very happy to have. :) hehe.

Speaking of obsessions (well, this hasn't gone that far yet, really...these are just more like interests than obsessions), last week I bought a
Spider-Man book (sort of a behind-the-scenes, making-of type one) because it was pretty and I guess I couldn't help myself. :) Also: I went to see
The Bourne Identity yesterday at the Queensway (yay) and they played the trailer for
Road To Perdition, the upcoming film starring Tom Hanks and Jude Law (the emphasis of this mention is, of course, on the fact that Jude Law is in the movie ... *coughs*... well, that and it looks pretty interesting). Well anyway, I've heard about the movie for a long time and will probably want to see it when it is released (July 12, 2002). Sarah Michelle Gellar's new movie
Scooby Doo seems to be doing rather well and people have said that it was very good. I'll probably see it eventually, but not at the theater, necessarily...
Well I should also mention that graduation was on Friday - went pretty well, I suppose, though I don't think I'm nearly as emotional about it all as I thought I would be. But, whatever, that's fine... We had this Chapel service thing and then the actual Graduation Ceremony, and then a reception outside in a big tent thing with free food. :) It was weird knowing that there were people there whom I will never see again; weird knowing that you're saying goodbye to someone for the last time; weird knowing that there are people who I might run into in 10 years at some reunion, who I won't recognize at all and possibly not even remember (though forgetting anyone here is highly unlikely for me). Huh. It's an odd feeling, actually. But I think I haven't really thought about all that very much or something... I think I probably have issues.
It's really, really difficult to choose electives that satisfy course distribution requirements (i.e., 1 Humanities course, 1 Science course, and 1 Social Science course) that I also am interested in that also can be scheduled into my week without any hitches. It's a bloody bore, I tell ya, but a necessary one, and that blows. It really does. But then again, it's nice to have electives in the first place, right? So what
am I complaining about?
